El Rancho Cima River Camp, Sam Houston Area Council
The week of June 22nd 16 scouts and some parents left for camp Cima located on the Blanco River. All of the first year scouts got the Swimming merit badge and much closer to their First Class rank during FCE (First Class Emphasis). Older scouts received many merit badges of their choice.
The Troop did a service project for Cima, improving trails, and received the Camp Cima Service Project Award. We also received the Camp Cima award.
The weather there was fantastic, hot and dry with very few bugs.
People enjoyed the overnight campout on top of Sentinel Peak, the view especially.
